How to Enable Ctrl + Alt + Del Log in - Windows 7 Operating System

Finally, Microsoft has launched an operating system that can be enlisted in secured operating systems. This is certainly the most secured and a feature packed operating system but there are few points, which can cause annoyance for you.
The old style to lock the PC using Ctrl + Alt + Del has gone astray in the new edition of windows operating system. Consequently, it becomes annoying to find the new way to lock the PC in Windows 7.

In actual, ctrl - Alt- del was an important feature of previous versions of operating system, which was helping users in avoiding the chances of accidental revealing of their username and password to malevolent software.
Now when Windows 7 has not such clear feature, you can ensure a secure logging by following these procedures -
  • Go to the start button. Click on search box, type 'netplwiz' and press enter or click on the result.
  • Now you will find a window pane, which will be showing user's accounts.
  • Now click on Advanced tab.
  • Now a secure log-on will be visible at the bottom of the screen, asking you press ctrl + Alt + dlt.
  • Now every time you lock your PC, you would be finding a comparatively boring pane, asking you to type ctrl + alt + del to unlock your pc.
Such features are not admired by speed freaks, who wanted a quicky bump but this is a delight for all those, who have been looking for a way to make their windows a secure deal.
Not only security seeker users but also maestros of computer world also suggest to switch for alt + ctrl + del log in, as it not only prevents users from numbers of malicious software or malwares but also helps in keeping your PC away from data hackers. Explore your Windows 7 and hooked up with a more secured platform.

The Three Finger Salute to Computers

Known as the three-finger salute - Clrt-alt-del is a keyboard shortcut that is used on PCs to help reboot the computer in a single shot. It can also be used to bring up the task manager. In some of the latest version of Microsoft Windows, this command can be used to bring up Windows Security as well. They are also known as interrupt keys since they are sometimes used to pause or exit a program that is hung or is malfunctioning.
In DOS based Windows - pressing this set of keys will give you a set of responses. A Windows 3.1 system will put forth a blue screen and will prompt you to press enter if you want to end a task. If not, you will just have to press the three keys again for a soft reboot. In Windows 95, 98 as well as ME, you will find that the OS will stop completely and then list out all of the processes currently running on your computer and prompt you to kill any of the programs or go in for a soft reboot.
If you are working with Window NT or later versions, then pressing Clrt-alt-del will perform different tasks depending on what the current situation is. If nobody has logged into the system, then you will be shown a log in screen. It can also bring up an unlock screen if the screen has been locked. If the computer is part of a domain or if it is running on Windows 2000, then it will bring up Windows Security dialog. With this you can lock the computer, change the password or bring up the Task Manager window.
If you are not connected to the main domain, and have the Welcome screen and the quick user switching screen activated, then you will be prompted with a task manager. If not, it will open the Windows security dialog box. If you happen to press this set of keys twice, then it will open the classic version of the Windows log in box. You can then log in as any user, even as one that may not be registered on the Welcome screen.
The Clrl-alt-del function is something that every Windows user depends on for a variety of reasons. Getting your computer to reboot is a common requirement. Also having to kill tasks or change screens when in doubt is also needed. These keys throw up numerous screens depending on the version you are working with.

Using a Software Tool That Changed My Life Forever

The story that I am going to tell is pretty much personal therefore I would like to tell it as soft as possible. Lately I have had a very strange feeling that my boyfriend is betraying me in some way. All the times I had tried to use his PC he always had a reason to avoid this. And normally his PC was always protected with a Windows password. This betrayal feeling that I am having became even stronger when I wanted to surprise visit him since I always keep a key from his apartment. When I entered the door his reaction was really strange as he suddenly locked his PC and came towards me. This was the moment when I really became suspicious and I really wanted to know what is going on.
Therefore I decided to "unlock" his secrets. I started looking for a way of how to do this. I googled for a possible solution and I came up with a program that was offering the possibility to unlock a Windows password in only 3 minutes. This was really what I was looking for as his Windows was password protected. I downloaded this software on my laptop and in 2 minutes I had bootable CD that I can use. I already tested it on my laptop to make it sure that it works, and magically it worked!
So my next move was to find a moment that I can use this on the PC and I can really see what is there that he protects that much. One day we agreed to watch a movie at his place and here was the moment since the rented DVD was destroyed and he needed to go and replace it. I had a perfect moment and I used it. I booted from the CD and in 2 minutes I unlocked the PC. My adrenaline level was going really up as I was finally logged in.
I started looking around and opened Outlook to see for any emails and I was shocked. But the shock was really different from what I was expecting, I saw several emails from a jewelry store that the ring that is ordered has been engraved and is ready for pick up. I also saw 2 flight reservations for Hawaii on our names.
I was in shock and did not know what to say but definitely the betrayal feeling was gone and I waited for the moment to happen. And after several days he proposed to me and we got engaged, I pretended that I never knew it but this software really gave me the information of my life.
This software tool cannot just unlock a Windows operating system but you can also unlock a secret that can change your life forever.

How to Reset the BIOS Password in Dell PCs

Having a password installed in the BIOS of your Dell computer is an efficient means of providing security, and for those that share one PC, it is even a necessity. However, while a default password is setup when you purchase the machine, most do not know how to turn it off or change it.
There are several problems that can arise, such as when the HD is protected and can only be accessed by entering the Dell password. In some cases, a person might forget what the password is, making it impossible to access the Dell computer.
Fortunately there is a way around this problem, but it is important that you understand some basic concepts to avoid any mistakes.
The BIOS
BIOS stands for basic input Output System. It is present in all PCs, not just Dell. It is the one that starts such processes as the keyboard, mouse, memory, video card etc. In other words, it is the very first application that runs when you turn on the computer.
Because of the vital functions that it performs, it is important that should you decide to reset the Dell BIOS password, you follow all the directions carefully.
Resetting the Password in a Dell Dimension PC
The first thing that you will need to do is locate the 3 pin CMOS password and reset jumper. It is usually on the motherboard. If you have no experience in handling computer hardware, you should call a qualified technician to do the work for you.
But if you want to do it yourself, open the Dell PC case, and carefully remove the jumper plug from the pins marked 1 and 2. Next put the plug on the pins numbered two and three. Wait for about ten seconds, and then alter the plug on pins 1 and 2. If done right, you will be able to reset the password.
Dell Optiplex
For the Dell Optiplex, you need to spend some time studying the user's manual specifically dealing with the layout of the system board, as the process is more complex. The first thing you will have to do is to take out the password jumper. Have your Dell User Guide in hand, because finding it can be difficult. When you find this CMOS jumper, gently pull it out.
As with the Dell Dimension you need to remove the jumpers from the first and second pins. Put them on pins 2 and 3. After a minute or so, you can put it back on pins 1 and 2.
Again, it has to be emphasized that resetting the BIOS passwords on Dell computers are delicate processes, and should only be undertaken by the experts. More often than not, users, especially new ones, should have a technician perform this task.
If you believe that you can do it yourself, you need to be certain that you have thoroughly gone over the layouts of the system. Also make sure that you will be working in an uncluttered environment. It is all too easy to lose sight of those jumpers.

Local Security Settings And Group Policy Editor In Windows 2000

The Local Security Settings tool is found in the Control Panel's Administrative Tools menu. You must have administrator privileges to access the Local Security Settings.
The Local Security Settings include:
Account Policies: Password and account lockout policies.
Local Policies: Audit policies, user rights assignments, and security options.
Public Key Policies: Configure encrypted data recovery agents and trusted certificate authorities.
IP Security (IPSec) Policies: Configure network IP security on the local machine.
By using the Group Policy Editor via a command you are given more control over settings for the local machine. You must have administrator privileges to access the Group Policy Editor. Click Start, Run, and type gpedit.msc and press enter. All the controls in the Local Security Settings are available here plus many more. The level of control over the local machine is truly remarkable. If you use gpedit.msc you will find the Local Security Settings under the Windows Settings folder.
Password Policy
The default setting for Password Policy allows insecure passwords. Users can set passwords with only one letter if they want. The more complex the password id the more secure it is. Its a good idea to set a minimum length here and also select password complexity which stops people using words as passwords or simple variations of words. You can also set passwords to expire forcing users to change their passwords at predetermined intervals. I suggest you use long passwords of at least 8 characters with a mix of letters and numbers. Its important to remember that if your on a domain network, domain security settings will override these settings.
Account Lockout Policy
This policy will lock the account of a user if X number of unsuccessful attempts in Y number of minutes are made to log into an account. It will lock for Z number of minutes. There are 3 policies in this folder, 1 each for X, Y, and Z. If an account is locked the user can either wait for the account to unlock or contact a person with administrator privileges to unlock it. Once again any domain level policies will override this local setting.
Audit Policy
The Audit Policy allows administrators to log user activity. When auditing is turned on for events they are recorded in the security log which can be found in the Event Viewer within Administrative Tools. The size of the security log is limited and also auditing consumes computer resources and slows performance, keep this in mind.
User Rights Assignment
This policy is set by groups not users, also the domain settings will override local settings, thus two columns "Local setting" and "effective Setting". Some rights are negative rights, "Deny Logon Locally".
Security Options
Security Options gives a range of additional security options such as preventing users from installing printer drivers, allowing the removal of removable NTFS media, and many other things.
Encrypted Data Recovery Agent
This allows you to add users who can act as a recovery agent in the event people are locked out from their encrypted files. By default the administrator is a recovery agent.
IP Security Policies on Local Machine
Configures network IP security on the local machine. These policies are either simply assigned or the use of a wizard is used to create a policy.

Software To Reset Windows Administrator Password

The Windows administrator password is meant to be a very important part of your system that's used to protect your data and information. Unfortunately, it can be the case that people will forget this password, and consequently have to "unlock" it in the best way possible. Fortunately, some software applications have begun to come onto the market which deal with this problem very effectively, and it's about these tools which I want to talk to you about to you today.
If you have forgotten your Windows administrator password, the bottom line is that there are two ways to deal with the problem. The first is to use a specific password remembrance program, or to re-install Windows completely. Although the latter works every time, it will wipe your entire settings and files inside your PC, and is not recommended. Instead, I would recommend you use a program which is able to "reset" the password of your system, by deleting the stored information that it may have inside.
The way that software works to remove the Windows administrator password from your PC is to basically replace the files that will hold the password of your PC. More specifically, this works by Windows checking the information inside the files that have been stored against the input passwords that you've typed into your PC. The reason why you cannot log in is because the data you typed into your computer does not match with the stored passwords that are on your hard drive, meaning that if you can change the stored password settings on your system, then you'll be able to log in correctly again.
We've found that a program called "Password Resetter" works in the most effective way to fix the problems on your PC. This program basically works by making a CD that loads up before Windows. This then takes the files that contain your computer's password, and changes them so that no information is stored inside. This means as you restart your system, you'll be able to log in without the need to actually type the password in. This method is probably the safest and most effective way to get the administrator password off your system, allowing you to login as effectively as possible again. This tool is used by many PC repair companies to get rid of the stored password that's on your system, allowing your computer to run much smoother as a result.

Especially, since people now have fast paced and often hectic schedule, sometimes people just become forgetful and can't remember their old password. The following sections will provide an overview and review of the product to help users determine whether the product is suitable for them or not.
Password Resetter is a type of program that can easily reset computer passwords. It works in the same way as a boot loader that is used in Windows. Basically, the boat loader refers to a command-line type of program that loads up prior to the processing or loading of the main operating system. This type of program is very essential in supporting and facilitating a range of operating system installations happening within the mainframe. Since the Password Resetter works in the same way as that of the boat loader, it becomes effective because it loads before Windows gets access to the security protocol and settings of the computer system.
The user should use this, or another program, make a "boot USB" or "boot CD" with the program so that the system will boot using this platform instead of Windows. The application will then begin scanning through the system and the files. It will try to locate the password and then reset it according to the new desired password of the user. Once the user gives out the command for the new password, the program will modify the file and then restart the whole system before loading Windows once again. Since the file has already been changed, the user needs to type the password in order to log into the system. Users should note that the program is very reliable so they wouldn't have to worry about damaging Windows when changing the password. It's simply changing the computer's setting without doing anything to the operating system.
The program is capable of scanning through registry keys and even profiles of the user. It can search through different settings and effectively locate the password without harming any component it comes across with. Since Windows uses the same range of files and settings to manage the computer's password, programmers of the Password Resetter were able to come up with a program that works in the same way. Thus, the program is completely compatible with the system and it will not do any damage. Users just have to make sure that they get the program from a reliable resource.
